In 1985, the McDaid brothers from Donegal had a spark of inspiration that would soon become a local sensation—a pizzeria. It all started with their shared passion for food, particularly Italian cuisine. Growing up in a family that valued homemade meals and community, the brothers always had a dream of bringing something unique to their hometown.

During a trip to Italy, they were captivated by the simplicity and flavor of Italian pizza. Inspired by the Italian way of gathering around food, they returned to Donegal determined to recreate that same experience.

At the time, Donegal didn't have anything quite like it—a place that combined the warmth of a family-run bakery with the rustic charm of an Italian pizzeria. The brothers knew they could bring something new and exciting to their community. They spent months perfecting their recipes, sourcing local ingredients, and learning the craft of traditional pizza making.
